Who we are
Bells of Hope Ministries is Non-Government Organization (Reg. No. 80010003641228), registered and operates in Uganda
It was initiated in 1998, in response to inflow of Congolese refugees into Kampala; emerging from the war that started in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) at the beginning of 1996. We welcomed the refugees and pacified them especially those who Born Again Christians, in the circumstances that they had lost a country, acquaintances and deprivation of fellowship in church congregations. We created church congregations through which Congolese practiced the five-fold Ministries. By 2005, when wars calmed down, many Brethren had been repatriated to USA and Europe.
Statement of Faith
The Hope Christian Center Church establishments believe the following:
- Believe in the existence of God; who is:
- The Father almighty,
- The creator of heaven and earth
- Believe in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord; who:
- Was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary,
- Suffered under Pontius Pilate and was crucified, died, and was buried,
- Rose from the dead on the third day,
- Ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty
- Will come again to judge the living and the dead upon their resurrection
- Believe in the Holy Spirit, the power of God to work; who:
- Spiritually reveals the truth of the word of God to man
- Works on the souls of humans bringing them to repentance
- Convicts humans to accept God’s forgiveness of sins upon believing and the need
for baptism
- Inspires the word of God for the edification and eventual steadfastness and communion of the believers
Bells of Ministry then turned to established local congregations in Uganda. The organization is registered member of the National Fellowship Of Born-Again Pentecostal Churches in Uganda
